1. What's your favourite piercing to perform?
Ooh... don't make me choose!

My favourite definitely changes depending on the day, but if I had to pick one, it'd be a daith. There's just something so satisfying about them. A well-placed daith can completely change the balance of an ear, and when everything lines up perfectly... it's a little bit magic.

I love seeing the moment clients look in the mirror and realise just how much one piercing can transform their whole ear.

2. What's the best cartilage piercing for someone getting their first cartilage piercing?
I'm probably going to surprise a few people and say a conch.

Most people expect me to recommend a helix, but I actually think conches deserve more love. They're tucked away a little further into the ear, which means they're often less likely to be knocked by your hair, headphones or that jumper you're trying to pull over your head.

They're a beautiful first cartilage piercing, and they're incredibly versatile if you decide you want to build a curated ear later on.

3. Do you have experience with first-time clients? How do you help people who are feeling nervous?
Absolutely! I've pierced first-time clients from 8 all the way through to 80, and I can promise you one thing—being nervous is completely normal.

You don't have to pretend you're brave around me. I'll explain everything as we go, answer every question (there's no such thing as a silly one), and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

4. What's one piece of advice you give almost every client?
Healing isn't a race.

Everyone wants their piercing to be healed yesterday, but your body doesn't work like that. The best thing you can do is keep it clean, keep it dry and, as tempting as it is... leave it alone!

If something doesn't seem quite right, don't jump down the Google rabbit hole. Come and see us instead. I'd much rather answer a hundred questions than have you stressing over something that turns out to be completely normal or doing something bad because the internet said so.

5. How do you help clients choose the right piercing?
I actually like to start with the jewellery.

Sometimes you'll fall in love with a particular piece, and from there we can work out the perfect placement based on your anatomy, your existing piercings and the overall look you're hoping to achieve.

My Piercer's Choice appointments are perfect for people who know they want something, but don't know exactly what. That's honestly one of my favourite kinds of appointments because we get to be creative together.

6. Will you ever say no to a piercing?
Yes... and I promise it's never because I'm trying to ruin your day.

If I don't think a piercing will suit your anatomy, your lifestyle or has a good chance of healing well, I'll always be honest with you. I'd rather disappoint you for five minutes than have you struggle with a piercing for the next twelve months.

The good news? There's almost always another option that gives a similar look while working much better for your anatomy.

7. Can you help design a curated ear?
Yes, please!

Ear styling is one of my favourite parts of my job. Whether you're starting with your very first piercing or you've been collecting them for years, I love creating ear curations that feel balanced, personal and completely yours.

Some people love a clean, minimal look. Others want to fill every bit of space with sparkle. Whatever your style is, we'll create something that works beautifully with your anatomy and leaves room to grow your collection over time.

8. Why should someone trust you with their piercing?
Because I genuinely care about getting it right.

For me, piercing has never been about simply putting another hole in someone's body. It's about understanding what you're hoping to achieve, making sure the piercing suits your anatomy and helping you choose jewellery that you'll still love years from now.

I'll always be honest, even if that means recommending something different to what you originally came in for. My goal is for you to leave feeling excited, confident and completely looked after.
