Studio Protocol and Policy

With luxury and safety in mind, the prestigious Cherrycore Studio was born.

Our practice, like every small and large business, has a list of requirements that must be followed to ensure both a peaceful and safe experience for all that attend our store.
If any of our requirements are not possible for you, or you wish to discuss any of them, please feel free to email us and we will do our best to assist you with a prompt response to discuss if any exceptions can be made or how we may better accommodate your needs.

Calling allows us to make any arrangements possible to better assist you. *Please note - not all calls can always be answered as we do not have a reception team. We are a small business, and will always do our best to take calls. Simply try again if your call is not answered.
  • Due to the nature of our practice, at times we may be running late. We provide personal care to each client and corners can not be cut in any situation to catch up. Some clients require more care than others, and we ask that should you attend our store that you be mindful that we will treat you with the same respect as any other. Should you need more time due to feeling unwell or nerves we will always look after you for your safety. We cannot prevent some situations and will do our best to inform you of any delays. Should you be on a tight time-line please notify us when booking and on arrival.
  • If we are running more than 15 minutes late to see you and you can not wait; there will be no cancellation fees.
  • Please remember; you are coming to us for our excellent quality in service and best practice care. No rude or aggressive behaviour will be tolerated at any time.
If you have had any symptoms of illness in the past 2 weeks, we ask that you do not attend the store. Piercings do not heal well for those that have been recently sick.
If you attend sick or showing any symptoms, you will be asked to leave.
Appointments & Walk Ins
While we are not strictly appointment only, we ask that you please book ahead to the best that you can. Our online booking system allows you to book as close as 1 hour before an appointment time and make changes to your appointment at any time via the confirmation link.
It is important to note that those with appointments are always our priority to see on time and walk ins may not always be available.
Running Late
- Aim to be early and you’ll always be on time.
- Calling if you are running late is respectful and appreciated as we may be able to re organise around you, however please keep in mind we do not have a receptionist which means that we cannot always answer calls.
- Our system automatically cancels appointments not arrived at 5 minutes past appointment time.
Bringing a +1 Friend
Where possible, we ask that you attend your appointment alone. We promise that we will look after you! Should you wish to bring a friend and you are both after either a new piercing, or you both are after a new show stopper for an existing piercing, simply book your appointments one after the other and we will easily see you together.
If you are bringing a +1 for support, please add a note to your online booking so that we can do our best to prepare, however please keep in mind we can not guarantee a waiting seat will be available. Your +1 may be able to attend for a short part of your appointment and then be required to wait in the outdoor waiting area to ensure clients with appointments with other team members can enter on time.
Bringing a +1 Child
- Cherrycore is strictly 8 years and over for entry. This is for the safety of our team and all clients.
- Children under the age of 8 years are not permitted to enter the store. Should this present an issue for you, please send us an email to see how we may best accommodate your needs.
- Please note that we can not guarantee a waiting seat will be available in-store should you choose to bring a child (8 years and over). Should you need to cancel due to this, our last minute cancelation fees will apply.
- There is a seating area out the front of our studio that children can sit in if they are of age to be left alone for the duration of your appointment.
Appointments for 15 years and under:
In Victoria it is against the Law to pierce anyone under the age of 16 without the consent of their Legal Guardian. It is also against the law to provide intimate piercing services to any person under the age of 18; regardless of consent. This includes Nipple and Genital piercings.
Piercing appointments for any person under the age of 16 will require the Legal Guardian to be present, as well as one of the following types of Photo ID;
-Photo ID for The Parent/ Guardian eg:
- Drivers License/ Learners Permit.
- Passport
- Proof of Age Card
In addition to this, a Medicare Card or Private Health Card with both the consenting Guardians name and the child getting pierced listed on the same card to link guardianship.
This means we are unable to accept consent from any persons who is not deemed by law a guardian, and able to consent to medical procedures. Most Commonly this is the Childs Biological or Adoptive Parent, or any person who has been appointed as a guardian by the court.
Unfortunately in Victoria this does not include Step-Parents as the law does not pass on guardianship through marriage without formal adoption. A person over the Age of 16 must provide one of the following forms of ID to be able to receive services.
- Drivers License/ Learners Permit
- Passport
- Proof of Age card
- Valid Student identification.
When booking for a minor, make sure to list: minors' age and who will be accompanying the minor for consent. Only 1 parent or legal guardian can attend in store with a minor having a service.
Our Dress Code
Please make sure you are appropriately dressed and clean when attending our store. This includes shirt and shoes.

At Cherrycore we strongly believe in equity for equality.
If you have preferences to better your personal experience, let us know prior to booking your appointment so that we can listen, understand and provide options for you or simply put your mind at ease.

For example of situations please read below: Should you prefer or require a quieter environment, we can happily provide this.
There are definitely times and days that are going to be best for your booking that will allow us to turn music down and ensure we have the most suitable room available for a more silent session.

Maybe you have a support companion of the furry kind?
We can work with you on this!
Unfortunately we cannot see you at all times of the day and definitely not as a walk in due to the stress and safety of our team and other attending customers.
But be assured we can most certainly accommodate clients with a medically trained animal, as long as they have an animal specific appointment pre-approved & scheduled with the appropriate team members.

Even if you're a new fur baby parent and just need to grab something and dash, we are more than happy to pop outside to assist you. There are always ways to work around and show compassion for each others needs.

We understand and respect each person’s individual needs, and are happy to work with you as long as others are not put at risk in the process.

Rudeness, aggression and entitlement are not acceptable behaviours. We will not offer services to mean people, however we will do everything to make sure those that respect us are in turn respected and will go above and beyond to ensure you are happy at any given opportunity.
